The man known as Speakerdeamon presents an ambitious and intimate album outside the hardcore genre: Organic downbeats, lush electronica and minimal melody lines, oscillating between dreamy and melancholic. “Clear” is at the same time a showcase of versatile production skills and a sonic diary, an authentic expression of emotions with a message of positivity.

Fueled by the need to cope with past experiences, Lictenberc produced the ten tracks of “Clear” from 2007-2010 and kept them in the drawer afterwards. The experiences with production techniques and sound design went into the successive work with his other projects, but now it feels just right to publish this revelation of relief: Thoughtful and gentle, this album exposes an unadorned fragile mind striving to become clear, to overcome negative thoughts.

Vaguely trip hop, though extending the usual notions of that genre by far, “Clear” should not be expected to be easy listening, too dense are the emotional undercurrents. This album requires active attention and promises great reward to those who appreciate subtlety and immerse themselves into the world of Lictenberc for its 53 minutes.
